Help Feed NYC’s Feral & Stray Community Cats A Project of New York City Feral Cat Initiative

Helping NYC's Most Vulnerable Cats

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the humane, effective community cat management program during which feral and stray cats are trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, left eartipped for identification, returned to their colonies, and fed and monitored by volunteer caretakers. A program of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, the NYC Feral Cat Initiative (NYCFCI) provides vital training, services, and support for Certified TNR Caretakers throughout New York City.

As we brace for another brutal New York winter, caretakers throughout the city are preparing their colonies for the cold temperatures to come. Food and shelter are critically important this time of year. Volunteer caretakers are working hard to keep colonies warm and safe.

How Does Your Donation Help?

Your tax-deductible contribution to the NYCFCI's Emergency Food Fund this month will help volunteers keep food bowls full — all winter long! Thanks to a generous, anonymous donor — who has agreed to match every donation we receive this month, dollar-for-dollar — you can double your impact for NYC's feral cats by joining our campaign today.

Every dollar raised means four more meals for NYC's feral and stray community cats. A $25 donation to the emergency food fund (which becomes $50 with the matching grant!) can feed 100 outdoor cats for a day. Volunteer caretakers will save the lives of thousands of NYC cats this winter, and your support will help them accomplish this important task.

We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
